Vale of Glamorgan Council

Prospero Planning have assisted the Vale of Glamorgan many times over more than ten years, providing resource and expertise to help during periods of pressure due to factors such as staff absence and application influx.

Most recently, we joined the team following the departure of a senior planner which coincided with an increase in application submissions and backlogs due to Covid.

We took on a senior planner role and worked remotely as part of the team, picking up a case load of planning applications and pre-application enquiries.

We carried out every aspect of the role, just as a permanent staff member would do, working directly with agents, applicants and consultees to process the applications and provide advice.

Thanks to our involvement, applications kept moving through the system and, most importantly, relieved some of the pressure on staff in the team at a busy and difficult time.
