About Prospero

We are trusted by many LPAs in Wales to support their planning teams and be there when you need us.

Every member of the Prospero team has extensive first-hand experience in LPAs and understands the daily challenges of life as a planner – and the headaches faced by every Head of Planning. We enjoy helping you to find a way to overcome these and achieve the right outcomes for everyone involved.

Of course, we offer technical planning expertise to help with avoiding or clearing backlogs, covering sickness or filling recruitment gaps.

But that’s not all

We believe that the human side of planning is just as important as technical expertise. We want to play a part in making your LPA planning team a great place to work.

We pride ourselves on having the highest professional standards and integrity. As we only work for LPAs, there are no conflicts of interest.

We will always be honest, approachable and straightforward, whoever we are dealing with. We work hard to build positive relationships founded on mutual trust and effective communication – with a sense of fun and humour thrown in too!

Prospero Planning was established in 2012 and continues to be led by Emma Watkins MRTPI, who has over 22 years’ town planning experience, including as Chair of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Cymru.
