Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park

Prospero Planning was awarded the contract to provide cover for a Senior Planning Officer on behalf of Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park in 2021. The appointment was brought about by severe technical difficulties that the authority had experienced alongside the challenges posed by Covid-19 and a long-term sickness absence within the team. Officers were overwhelmed by their caseloads and so Prospero has been providing additional, flexible resource to help them wherever required. 

The contract to support the planning service on a mix of applications and pre-applications was for an initial six-month period, and but this has been extended a few times to ensure continued cover when recruiting permanent staff has been difficult.

Our assigned Associate has been invaluable, dealing with some of the more complex applications on behalf of the authority and has been able to respond quickly to internal changes there.
